We spent 7 days on the Island of Islay at the end of December, a nice place to avoid the nonsense of Christmas and New year. Daylight was very limited especially as we only saw the sun for a combined total of about 90 minutes in the whole 7 days. The wintering Barnacle Geese are one of the spectacles of the bird world.
