This Greater Black-backed Gull plucked an emerging Puffin from its burrow just 3m away from me. It carried it down to the rocky shoreline but just as the gull was about to finish it off the Puffin managed to break free and dive in to the sea.
The first two individuals are typical Lempke's but the others seem to show intermediate features of both the Gold Spots. Its possible that they were just Gold Spots as this species is very variable.
