4 Weeks in West Africa coming up

The Black Isle, Dec/Jan 11

A week on and around the Black Isle, Easter Ross. Very settled weather conditions allowed for some superb views of winter wildfowl. The above photos show sunrise over Udale Bay and the view from our cottage. The ice hadn't quite let go of it's grip on the Isle as can be seen from our approach track.

Wild Geese and Hunter

It took me a while to notice the wildfowler and his dog waiting for arriving geese.

Long-tailed Ducks, Embo.

A raft of 300+ Long-tailed Ducks was present off Embo Pier.
