Puss Moth Caterpillar, RW



Amazingly well camouflaged thanks to the white lines that break up its body shape. This one had a dozen tiny black seed pod like objects attached to it, all of them in the folds of each segment. I'm guessing they were the eggs of a parasitic wasp so i intervened with a hand lens and tweezers. The caterpillar just carried on feeding while i carefully removed each one.
