I got increasingly fed up with the noisy tourists and with the Chinese New Year approaching i decided to go and live in some caves for a few days. It involved a 16km walk through the forest and i ended up spending 5 days at a time out there all on my own. I did this twice during my stay in Taman. I shared the caves with 100's of Bats, Scorpions, Cave Centipedes and Cave Crickets. An Elephant had also recently spent the night in my cave prompting me to set my bed up a few metres above the ground just in case. I saw what was left of the real Taman Negara up there.
