Djoudj / Northern Senegal, 27th Jan - 5th Feb

I won't bother describing Djoudj  because all i will be doing is copying it off the internet. However, i will say it is one of the best places that i have ever visited in the world. Much  depends on how wet the wet season is and fortunately for us, last autumn was exceptionally wet. This meant that much of the park was still under water and literally covered in birds. To sum it up the wetland habitat in this area supports up to 3 million migrant birds and on top of that there are many more wintering passerines.
