Peregrine

Adult male going south. Many of the Peregrines that pass Batumi are rarely near enough to study. This high and fast male had limited barring to its underparts with clean white penetrating the belly area.

A small warm coloured and heavily marked juvenile which I considered to be a brookei type at the time.

Juvenile calidus - Station 1. Very white head and narrow moustache stripe. Also appeared longer winged than the average Peregrine.

A beautiful bird from the tundra.
