We stopped briefly at the temporary roadside wetland just south of Kaolack as we headed back to the Gambia from northern Senegal. 85 Black Storks were in a feeding frenzy along with many Great White and Little Egrets. Also en route were many African Swallow-tailed Kites, a flock of Lesser Kestrels and some confiding Black-headed Plovers.
