A few CR Ospreys

All black rings are German Ospreys and all records were sent to the appropriate people.



















Photo below shows 8XU (left bird) when he was a juvenile on 19th Jan 2014 at the same site as the above drawing. He was watching an adult female eat a Needlefish in 2014 but now has established himself among the nearby Mangroves.






First saw this cr Bar-tailed Godwit in Senegal in Jan 2014. It had been ringed on Texel (Holland) in May 2003 as part of a shorebird study and had never been seen again since it's release. It was really nice to see it wintering again in the same spot.

I really concentrated on the dive but missed it yet again with the camera. The last part before the splash is often quicker than you think even for a camera that takes 10 frames a second. Or it could just be incompetence.
