Sitting on the Castillio with blue sky and a light north-east breeze, i wait for the bugling calls of migrating Cranes. It can sometimes take a while to locate a group after first hearing their calls but luckily they are not often in a rush to pass and sometimes a group will circle for 15 minutes or more. I guess they are trying to decide whether to carry on south or whether to stop for a rest. I used to think that it was the adults allowing their offspring time to take in the migration route but i see groups of adults with no juveniles doing it as well.
