| The juvenile Black Kites passing through Batumi are extremely variable with some clearly showing a Black-eared Kite influence. Interestingly though all the adults I see look like typical Western birds. The juveniles vary not only in plumage but also structure with some being really large and broad winged with varying wing formula. |
