Very striking golden upperwing patch similar to many Pallid's.

Male, 6th September. I see 1-2 male Montagu's Harriers like this at Batumi. The outer primaries are brown and extremely worn but are not juvenile feathers. The secondaries are dark grey-brown above but look adult like from below and the upper wing coverts show a mixture of normal grey feathers mixed with brown. Interesting birds.
